To all visiting this resource, the Pinfold Rehabilitation Day Centre was a unique place to work, with a team of Resource Facilitators, Care-Staff, Drivers, Cooks, Cleaners and Caretaker, lead by a dedicated Centre Manager, Assistant Manager and Judy in the Office (who held it all together...)

Not forgetting ALL the staff that have gone before, from the original 1966 staff team, to everyone in-between.

Also you will see a lot of photos of charitable organisations who used the centre at night, for no cost, and made the Centre a 'Jewel-In-The-Crown' to the Disabled Community of Walsall.

The centre closed to Service Users & Night Groups in February 2011, and was then de-commission and finally closed it's doors in April 2011.

The building sat empty until February 2013, when it was taken over by The Frank F Harrison Community Association, who used it as a training centre to offer various courses. I'm unsure when they vacated the centre, just that it was sometime in 2017.

The building was empty when it was damaged by fire on the evening of Tuesday 12th June 2018. According to the local news: '20 Firefighters were called to the blaze at 7.40pm, with the cause believed to be arson, only one room was affected, crew members stayed on site until 7am performing hot spot checks until the building was declared safe, photos taken at the scene shows charred debris and major damage to the roof.'

It will only be a matter of time until the building is demolished.
